About Scott

Empowering Tech Success Through Expertise

Astrocolossal is Scott (me) and my network of trusted experts. I am a former musician and bartender who moved into tech support, sales, and marketing and have spent the last decade in SaaS.

The early challenge I helped solve was explaining complex tech: concepts like DevOps, open source, distributed infrastructures, and containers to the masses. This meant listening, before speaking, to better understand our audience.

We learned to speak about performance and resiliency to developers. It meant speaking about ROI and efficiency to executive decision-makers. It taught us the value of context in conversations. We did this a few hundred times as we rolled out new features and technology. We got good at it.

My work now encompasses strictly technical "devrel" conversations to C-level presentations. I help with customer discovery and guiding product roadmaps, as well as customer journey mapping and persona development.

I started this company to offer these services to others, mostly in the Bay area. I also expanded to APAC and EMEA, as I had experience spinning up sales and marketing in new regions.
